Dr. M. J. Baig, is currently serving as the Principal Scientist and Head of Crop Physiology & Biochemistry Division, ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from Utkal University in 1999. He started his career as a Scientist at Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi followed by Sr. Scientist at Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi, Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi, and ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack.
He has published 80 Research Papers, 02 Review Papers, 07 Popular articles, 02 Books, 03 Technical Bulletins, and 16 Book Chapters. He has received several Awards such as ICAR Senior Research Fellowship from 1991-95, Topped the merit list in Agriculture Research Service-1992, and ICAR NET-1992.
