Biography

Dr. Bhupendra Nath Tripathi, born in district Azamgarh, U.P. on 20 July, 1962; Graduated from Veterinary College, Mathura, CSA University of Agriculre & Technology, Kanpur (UP), ( now DUVASU), 1984; M.V.Sc and Ph.D. from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar (UP) in 1987 and 1990, respectively.

Currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) of Jammu from May 2023. Served as the Deputy Director General (Animal Science), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, from 2020 to 2023.

Visited a number of European countries, Denmark, Australia, Japan, Iran and Bhutan for academic, research and as Govt of India representative. NRCE received Sardar Patel Outstanding ICAR Institution Award, 2015.

  • Host-Pathogen Interaction, Diagnosis and Vaccinology of Bacterial and Viral Infections of Animals
  • Veterinary Pathology (Infectious diseases pathology) – Immunology and Molecular Microbiology
  • Immunopathobiology and diagnosis of infectious diseases especially paratuberculosis, clostridiosis, salmonellosis, glanders, PPR, equine infectious anaemia, equine influenza, bluetongue, equine herpes, etc;
  • Pioneering contributions on immunology, molecular pathogenesis and diagnosis of Johne’s disease
