Biography

Prof. (Dr.) Bimal Prasanna Mohanty is Professor of Veterinary Biochemistry at IVSAH–SOA Deemed University, Bhubaneswar, and President of the Society of Veterinary Biochemists and Biotechnologists of India (SVBBI). He earned BVSc & AH from OUAT, MVSc from IVRI, and Ph.D. in Biotechnology from JNU, with advanced training in proteomics at the University of Aberdeen, UK. Formerly Assistant Director General (Inland Fisheries), ICAR HQs, and Board Member of OUAT, he now serves as Adjunct Professor at Vidyasagar University. A Fellow of NAAS, Prof. Mohanty has pioneered proteomics applications in aquaculture and food safety, strengthened nutritional security frameworks, and advanced sustainable development policies. As consultant, mentor, and editor‑in‑chief, he has guided young researchers, shaped institutional collaborations, and contributed extensively to national and international scientific conventions.
