Dr. Saroj Kumar Swain is currently serving as the Director (Acting), ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar, odisha, India. He has completed his Ph.D (1997) in Aquaculture, Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar and Diploma in MAS from University of Chile, Santiago, Chile. Last 12 years he is involved in developing captive breeding technology of 15 indigenous o rn a me nt al fis h sp e ci e s, 39 commercial varieties and popularized ornamental fish farming throughout the country through research and developments. Also, he has broad research experience in years research on Fish Nutrition (Diet development of various stages of carps, Fish bioenergetics), in research and extension of carp, diversified species and catfish culture.
He has published 18 Research paper in various Journals, 1 book for ICAR, Edited 7 books, published 11 book chapters, developed 24 Training Manuals, with 50+ popular articles in Eneglish and other regional language.
