Dr. Harekrushna Swain is currently serving as a Senior Preservation Assistant at Botanical Survey of India, ERC, Shillong. He completed his Ph.D from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha, his M.Sc. in Botany (University Gold Medal), receipient of INSPIRE Fellow of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Presently Working on: DNA barcoding and Phylogenetic analysis of the endemic species of Northeast India and Chemical composition, antioxidant activities of the essential oil produced.

- Awarded with INSPIRE Fellowship for the year-2015 given by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
- Awarded with Best Outstanding Young Research Scholar in Molecular PlantPathology National Award 2020 given by Kamarajar Institute of Education And Research, Chennai.
- Adjudged as the Young Investigator in the International Conference on Agriculture (Agri-Vision 2020), Institute of Life Science (ILS), Bhubaneswar, 27th -28th January, 2020.
- Awarded with Shining Star Award for Dedication towards Agricultural Research in International Conference on Plant Science in Post Genomics Era (AGRI VISION-2021) held at Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, 14th -16th March, 2021.
